Machine Learning: Unlocking the Power of AI
What is Machine Learning?
Machine learning (ML) is a branch of artificial intelligence (AI) that enables machines and systems to learn and improve from experience. Unlike traditional programming, where computers are explicitly programmed with instructions, ML algorithms are trained on large datasets, allowing them to identify patterns and make predictions without being explicitly programmed.
How Machine Learning Works
ML algorithms are iterative, meaning they refine their predictions as they process more data. This process involves three main steps: training, validation, and testing. During training, the algorithm learns to recognize patterns and make predictions based on the input data. Validation involves evaluating the algorithm's performance on a subset of the data to ensure it is generalizing well. Finally, testing involves assessing the algorithm's accuracy on a separate dataset not used in training or validation.
