Syracuse Football: Offensive Line Preview
A Deep and Experienced Unit
The Syracuse Orange football team returns a wealth of experience to its offensive line in 2023. Four starters return from last year's team, and they will be joined by several talented newcomers. This unit should be a strength for the Orange this season.
Returning Starters
- Garrett Dellinger (6'5", 305 lbs.) - Dellinger is a three-year starter at left tackle and one of the most experienced players on the team.
- Chris Bleich (6'4", 310 lbs.) - Bleich is a two-year starter at left guard and a key member of the running game.
- Darius Tisdale (6'5", 315 lbs.) - Tisdale is a two-year starter at center and the leader of the offensive line.
- Matthew Bergeron (6'4", 310 lbs.) - Bergeron is a two-year starter at right guard and a physical presence in the middle of the line.
Newcomers to Watch
- Antione Davis (6'6", 325 lbs.) - Davis is a redshirt freshman who is expected to compete for a starting role at right tackle.
- Mike Morris (6'5", 300 lbs.) - Morris is a redshirt freshman who could see playing time at guard or tackle.
- Max Mangum (6'4", 290 lbs.) - Mangum is a true freshman who has impressed the coaching staff with his athleticism and strength.
Outlook for 2023
The Syracuse Orange offensive line should be one of the best in the ACC in 2023. The unit is experienced, talented, and deep. The Orange should be able to run the ball effectively and protect quarterback Garrett Shrader. This unit will be a key part of Syracuse's success this season.
